Step 1 — Prepare Your Documents
Choose the visa category that matches your trip and prepare the required documents. Every category lists its documents on the relevant visa page:
- A valid passport with at least 2 blank pages.
- A completed and signed visa application form.
- One recent passport-size photograph.
- The invitation or confirmation required for your visa category.

Step 2 — Submit Your Application
Visit our Vienna centre during opening hours to submit your documents. At the centre we will:
- Review and check the completeness of your documents.
- Collect your biometrics and photo where required.
- Collect the consular fee and visa service fee.
- Issue your receipt with a reference number for tracking.
Arrival Time
Please arrive no later than 30 minutes before the centre closes to allow enough time for document submission.
Step 3 — Collect Your Passport
Once your visa decision is ready, collect your passport at the centre — or choose our delivery service to have it sent to your address. Track the progress of your application anytime using your reference number on the Track Your Application page.
Submission
Documents submitted and fee paid at the centre.
Processing
The Consulate reviews and decides on your application.
Collection / Delivery
Passport returned with the visa decision.
