About the Business Visa
The Russian Business Visa is intended for commercial and professional purposes: business meetings, negotiations, market visits, trade missions and related activities that do not constitute employment.
Processing Time
Standard processing takes approximately 7 working days. Fast-track service is available where the Consulate permits it.
Required Documents
Please bring the following documents in original when submitting your application:
- Valid passport with at least 2 blank pages and validity of at least 6 months beyond the visa expiry date.
- Completed visa application form signed by the applicant.
- One recent passport-size photograph meeting Russian visa photo requirements.
- A business invitation issued by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs or an authorised body.
- A company letter of intent from your employer confirming the purpose of the visit.
- Consular fee and visa service fee (payable at the centre).
Validity and Stay
- Available for single, double or multiple entry up to 1 year.
- Validity and duration of stay are set by the Consulate based on the invitation.
- The permitted duration of stay is printed on the visa itself — please check it before travel.

- Arrange the business invitation through your Russian partner or host organisation.
- Prepare all documents listed above.

- Track your application online and collect your passport, or choose delivery.
Important Note
Business visas do not authorise employment. A work permit and work visa are required for paid employment in Russia.
