About the Tourist Visa
The Russian Tourist Visa is the most common category, intended for leisure travel, sightseeing, holidays and organised tours across the Russian Federation. It can be issued for single or double entry.
Processing Time
Standard processing takes approximately 7 working days. Fast-track service is available where the Consulate permits it.
Required Documents
Please bring the following documents in original when submitting your application:
- Valid passport with at least 2 blank pages and validity of at least 6 months beyond the visa expiry date.
- Completed visa application form signed by the applicant.
- One recent passport-size photograph meeting Russian visa photo requirements.
- A tourist confirmation / voucher from a registered Russian tour operator or authorised host.
- Consular fee and visa service fee (payable at the centre).
Validity and Stay
- Issued for a stay of up to 30 days per visit.
- Single or double entry, with validity set by the Consulate.
- The permitted duration of stay is printed on the visa itself — please check it before travel.

Important Note
Tourist visas do not authorise employment or study in Russia. Visa fees are non-refundable once the application has been submitted to the Consulate.
