About the Work Visa
The Russian Work Visa permits foreign nationals to work for a Russian employer within the Russian Federation. It is normally issued on the basis of an employment invitation and a work permit obtained by the employer.
Processing Time
Work visa processing can take longer than other categories. Please contact our centre for the current processing estimate for your case.
Required Documents
Please bring the following documents in original when submitting your application:
- Valid passport with at least 2 blank pages and validity of at least 18 months beyond the visa expiry date.
- Completed visa application form signed by the applicant.
- One recent passport-size photograph meeting Russian visa photo requirements.
- A work invitation issued by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs or its authorised body.
- HIV-test certificate (required for work visas).
- Consular fee and visa service fee (payable at the centre).
Validity and Stay
- Issued for up to 1 year, in line with the work permit and invitation.
- Multiple entry, with validity set by the Consulate.
- Registration is required at the place of stay within Russia after arrival.
